Fallan Soldier hails from Vancouver and “specializes in hard-hitting beats and genre-mixing tracks with inventive lyrics and unique vocals” (AnE Vibe). He released his debut album “Above The Call Of Duty” in 2009 which NXEW has called “fresh, upbeat and exceptional for its sound...overall a great piece of work.” Fallan Soldier's live show is not to be missed.
Fallan Soldier is also known as actor Harris Allan whose roles have included Hunter on Queer As Folk and numerous television guest appearances including Smallville, The 4400, Cold Squad, Masters Of Horror, and movies such as Home At The End Of The World and Spectacular!
Basic Value—the emcee duo of Adict The Mad Scientist and Stylez J from Kamloops—are a fundamental part of the local hip hop movement and keep the underground alive by playing numerous shows in and around BC. They have also been steadily building a following by producing and releasing their music and have just released their second album “Static”. Returning recently from a tour of Vancouver Island to sold out venues in Kamloops, Basic Value are now ready to get Kelowna 'movin on the floor.
Rephraze is no stranger to Kelowna's hip hop scene having produced, engineered, recorded and performed with numerous names in the underground hip hop movement including Swollen Members, Kuruption Camp, Diskreet, Morges, Eljay and Aesthetic Deliverance. Having toured extensively throughout BC he is most recently back from a show at the Media Club in Vancouver, and Pogue Mahone's in Kamloops. Always keeping his sound fresh, this emcee is also a producer and lyricist and will bring you some crazy beats and solid raps, performing tracks from his upcoming debut solo album. For the Okanagan tour with Fallan Soldier, Rephraze has invited Eljay to join him on stage.
Bitter Rhythm formed in August 2009 are the emcee duo Natural Instinct and Bawbe Fresh, also from Kelowna. They got their start performing live at The Habitat's Open Mic shows. In November Bitter Rhythm began their professional career opening for Kay The Aquanaut at the Habitat and then touring with Swollen Members to Penticton and Salmon Arm. Bitter Rhythm have also been asked to perform with D-12. Their first single “Last Call” will soon be released with an EP to follow shortly afterwards.
