Come eat, listen, and celebrate with Habitat as they commemorate their five year anniversary on Friday, July 16th. The evening will be a look back on everything that has made Habitat into the successful, unique live music and event venue that it is today but it will also be a look into the future as attendees will get a sneak peak at what’s to come at Habitat in the next project phase. What would be a great night at Habitat without some great live music to accompany? Maple Ridge-based group Familia (www.myspace.com/familiaband) will be providing the entertainment for the evening with a great blend of rock, pop, and soul along with Kelowna local (and friend of the Habitat) Ange Alero (www.myspace.com/angealero).

Over the past five years, Habitat has been through so many changes that it’s hard to remember how the space was even started. What was once an empty space and a blank canvas has now turned into a contemporary venue with the means to transform the room depending on the different events that are hosted from art shows, to live concerts. Without the laborious efforts of owner Quinn Best and his staff, there is no way that Habitat could have grown into the highly acclaimed community space that it is today. “Five years is a major milestone for any business. This event will celebrate all of the people, friends, and family who have all enabled this project to be such a huge success.” said Best.

The venue has entertained and hosted events for thousands of people and, on their five year anniversary, Habitat wants to take the time to recognize the contribution that the people and community of Kelowna have made to the success of their business. So whether you’ve played at Habitat, hosted an event, or even just enjoyed a great meal with friends, you’re invited to Habitat’s Five Year Anniversary.
