Redgy Blackout - 11:45pm
Singer and multi-instrumentalist Scott Perrie and guitar/banjo player Jeremy Breaks have been perfecting their collaborative craft since they met at an open jam in Vancouver. Both came from musical backgrounds, Perrie through the theatre and his grandfathers ‘61 Gibson J45, and Breaks through growing up in his father’s music store in Prince George. The duo’s musical vision came together with their acclaimed 2009 debut The Leap, and in 2010 they recorded an EP, entitled Meet You On The Other Side with the popular upbeat track “Like Penguins Do”. These days Redgy Blackout are producing their best material yet, bringing a united focus and dedication to the music they create, and collaborating with top notch musicians. The new, Redgy Blackout EP is a collection of 6 original songs ofrock your pants off (“Bottom Of The Sea”), pure pop folk (“100 Cigarettes”) and heartfelt songwriting (“Once Knew You”). It’s a testament to the musicianship of the members of Redgy Blackout and their devotion to the craft; it displays a comfort and maturity with songwriting and composition with a sense these guys really like to have fun. The Redgy Blackout EP is their third recording, released officially July 15, 2011, and was produced by Elisa Pangsaeng, mixed by Tom Dobrzanski (Said The Whale, The Zolas) and recorded at Vertical and Blue Wave Studios in Vancouver. In exchange for studio time, members of the band got together to help build a new studio for Dobrzanski.

ROCOCODE (full band) - 10:45pm
ROCOCODE is an unfamiliar band made up of familiar faces. They strive to create music that is equal parts arty, accessible, sexy, sweet, badass, bent and beautiful. The band is operated by Laura Smith and Andrew Braun, Shaun Huberts (Tegan & Sara) and Johnny Andrews (Tegan & Sara). Their debut, Guns, Sex and Glory, was produced by Ryan Guldemond and Andrew Braun, and mixed by John Congleton (St. Vincent, Pink Mountaintops, Polyphonic Spree).

The Belle Game - 9:45pm
The Belle Game is a seven-piece collection of vocals, guitars, brass, family and friends boasting a mixture of orchestral indie-pop and percussive art-rock. Since returning to their hometown of Vancouver B.C. after spending a year amidst the gurgling noise of the Montreal music scene, The Belle Game has spun their influences into a exciting live show, placing them on stages alongside the likes of Karkwa, Ohbijou, We Are The City, Hey Ocean! and Aidan Knight, as well as festival dates at Squamish Live and SummerLive. On October 1st, The Belle Game released a brand new EP entitled “Sleep to Grow”. The album’s soft, anthemic, whimsy was crafted alongside JC/DC Productions (New Pornographers, Tegan and Sara, Destroyer). Currently, The Belle Game is participating in this years PEAK Performance Project with 20 of BC’s most talented musicians. They’ve begun production on their full-length which is slated for release in early 2012.

The Ruffled Feathers - 8:45pm
The Ruffled Feathers climbed precarious cliffs and clambered over felled logs on the last sunny day of the season in a no-trespassing zone on a quest to find their spirit animals. A pair of seagulls and the crewmen of a tugboat were the only audience to a song about a castle floating over the Soviet Union. It began with the young mandolin playing existentialist Charley Wu singing anthems with a loop pedal in the Gallery Lounge at the University of British Columbia. There he stumbled upon the soft-spoken sparrow Gina Loes. in October of 2008. He invited her travel through the woods with him to sing songs at the piano in his birdhouse. Together they made beautiful music and stretched their wings so wide that in January of 2009 they spotted the gilded melodies of trumpeter Andrew Lee sparkling through the skyscrapers and trees. With a few gathered sticks and battered bows their housemates Alex Leckie and Brian Lerher emerged from their nests on drums and bass and stitched together the heavenly and earthly sounds for the many tuneful evenings that would lay ahead. From cities, forests, and deserts, the Ruffled Feathers converge in a cacophony of creations about home, the heart, and the seeds of a revolution as a chamber- pop, indie-rock group that has been lighting up Vancouver venues ever since. The Ruffled Feathers played their first show at Vancouver venue Café Monmartre in March of 2009. Together, the band recorded their first self-titled EP release produced by Charley Wu and released the record in September of 2009 at Café Deux Soleil, along with the two music videos, Novy Mir and Ghost Pirates. In September 2010, with vivacious percussionist Sam MacKinnon and the slick bassist Matty Jeronimo as the newest animals in the pack, the Ruffled Feathers have never had as much momentum. With a new-found spirit and enough velocity to escape the Earth’s gravity, they polished up their tracks from their self-titled EP and re-released in October 2010. They are currently working of a full length album planned for release in April 2011. Around a small campfire they dance; with the gypsies and the communists, the pirates and their ghosts, and all the bucks and squirrels and sparrows of the forest they have made together.

Dominique Fricot - 7:45pm
Dominique Fricot is a Vancouver-based solo artist with a lot to offer. Not only does Fricot charm his audiences with his captivating banter, but he also has the ability to move his audiences through song with his heartfelt lyrics and soulful melodies. Standing 6 foot 7, Fricot commands the stage with his rich baritone and his emotive fusion of rock, soul, folk and jazz. “Fricot’s plaintive vocals and knack for melody invite comparisons to Chris Martin and Adam Duritz ” (John Lucas, the Georgia Straight). While only recently appearing on the music scene under his given name, Fricot has toured with bands across Canada for several years. Getting his start as head songwriter and front man for the alternative rock group The Painted Birds, Fricot toured Canada coast to coast on numerous occasions. Along with being selected in 2009 Peak Performance Project top 20, The Painted Birds also showcased at several renowned festivals including Canadian Music Week, North by North East, the WesternCanadian Music Awards, Sled Island (Calgary), Juno Fest and AustinTexas’ world famous South by South West.
