Bison B.C. are a heavy metal band from Vancouver, BC. They are currently signed to California based Metal Blade records. Bison B.C. recorded their Metal Blade debut 'Quiet Earth' with Jesse Gander (3 Inches of Blood, Subhumans, Mass Grave, S.T.R.E.E.T.S.) at The Hive Studios in Burnaby. The album was released on 30 September 2008.
Bison are especially known for their intense live shows. Blending traditional heavy metal with undertones of hardcore punk and thrash metal they have built themselves a strong fan base around North America. Bison have toured with the likes of Habitat regular's 3 Inches Of Blood, Genghis Tron, Baroness, The Ocean Collective and Priestess.
Lazarus A.D. formed in the frozen tundra of southeastern Wisconsin in the spring of 2005. Dan Gapen (guitars/vocals), Jeff Paulick (bass/lead vocals), Alex Lackner (guitars), and Ryan Shutler (drums), redefine the phrase “alcoholism and aggression” in music. They subject metal heads to furious nights of head banging while drinking venues dry. Have no doubts that Lazarus A.D. is a thrash band, but merely in attitude as their sound is no simple throwback to the 80s bay area sound. They breathe a breath of fresh air into modern thrash with intelligent, memorable riffs, mid-tempo grooves, and high-flying solos.
Born from the ashes of the Gorgeous, A Javelin Reign, and Nick Ball and the High Heels. Jordon (vocalist) and Kevin (guitar) decided to create a new sound. The sound they came up with was stoner metal.
Barn Burner was formed in the spring of 2007 in Montreal, Quebec. Added to the line up were Scott “Huey” Lewis on guitar, Taylor from the Black Ships on drums, and Nick “LLBL” Ball on bass.
By November of 2007, Jordon would leave the band to pursue a solo career in Toronto as the Boogie Man Jordon Daniels. After Jordon left, Kevin stepped up as the full time vocalist and guitar player. They would release their self-titled debut E.P. on their own. The band would continue on touring across Canada with the likes of Priestess and Bison. Before the cross country tour, lead guitar Huey would leave the band to pursue art in Vancouver. Bernard Burner would continue on, using a replacement guitarist and drummer (filling in for Taylor who was touring with Black Ships).
Today Barn Burner is working on their first full-length album, which will be released on Storyboard Records. Recently, they have had their song Wizard Island played on BBC Radio One rock show in the United Kingdom.
