Do you have a small band? Are you playing locally (here in Kelowna, or anywhere else in the world really) and looking for a way to earn your chops? Starting out can be hard when no one has heard of you, you may want to find a way for your band to sell their songs. You may want to go on tour but have a hard time saving the bones, or maybe people won't book you because they haven't heard of you yet. You may be trying Myspace and Facebook but find the platforms limiting. Well, if this is the case, you may want to keep your eye on Muxtape.



According to the website, it's still being developed... however, when it’s done,

• bands will be able to sell downloads
• anyone will be able to make mixes of music on the site
• labels will be able to manage their bands in one place
• developers will be able to build on the API

For now, bands can only be invited into the system by other bands (this won’t always be the case).

This all sounds very promising.
