    The Wooden Sky
are a Canadian indie rock band based in Toronto, Ontario. The band recorded their latest album, 'If I Don't Come Home, You'll Know I'm Gone' in late 2008 and early 2009 in Montreal with producer Howard Bilerman (Arcade Fire, Thee Silver Mt. Zion, Basia Bulat). This record, released on August 25, 2009, saw them push the limits of the folk and country genres that was heard on 'When Lost At Sea' with a more sonic and multi-instrumentally layered aesthetic. Armed with a collection of songs written in the back of the van, in venue parking lots and an icebox of a rehearsal space, Yukon Blonde went into the studio in the summer of 2009 to record their first album- which was recently released in both Canada and USA by Bumstead Records, receiving rave reviews from such publications as Exclaim, Under The Radar and Billboard.

Goodbye Beatdown isn't just about firing off simple party tunes but their music is intended as a soundtrack to good times. They aim to be uplifting and leave an air of positivity everywhere they play. There's a free flow of energy between the stage and the audience that stems from modelling their set after the way a DJ would play a dance party. The songs flow from one to another and it's all done on purpose from tempos to keys and audience interaction. Cory Myraas, Cameron Lutz, Luke Mortensen and Rob Raybould make up Poor Little Rich Girl and together since late 2008 have made big waves in the Okanagan music community.

    July 4th, 2010 - Mini Mansions

w/ The Greff Band and Minto
$10 advance (+$2.50 tx & sc) - Buy your tickets for this show here!
Doors at 8pm, show at 9pm

Mini Mansions are a three-piece psych pop band from Los Angeles (w/ Michael Shuman from Queens of the Stone Age), who serve a mix of baroque-pop requiems, Motown eulogies, and Mersey-era break beats.  Let's just say it's like The Zombies playing at ODB's funeral. The Greff Band is classic roots rock raised on the Canadian plains. Minto is a five piece folky, rock and roll band from Vancouver.

    June 2nd, 2010 - The Sadies

    w/ The Pack A.D.
$15 (+$1.50 tx & sc) Buy your tickets for this show here!
Doors at 8pm, show at 9pm

The Sadies are at home on any stage they’re on, with a typical show lasting 35 to 40 songs, give or take five or ten. The band’s almost careless stage presence -- with the Good brothers looming in their tailored, embroidered suits -- and reckless punk energy make the songs fly by. It’s past midnight at the club. It’s the Sunday after Valentine’s Day. It’s a freakin’ benefit show that started 8 hours ago and last call was 15 minutes ago. So why are all these people without so much as a drink in their hands staying put? Because the last act of the evening is the Pack AD. Some shit in life is always worth the wait...

    May 20th, 2010 - Current Swell

w/ Old Man's Beard and Devon (from devonandkevin)
$12 (+ $1.50 tx & sc) Buy your tickets for this show here!
Doors at 8pm, show at 9pm

Current Swell, a band based in Victoria BC, is in the foreground of the “new roots” music front pushing out of Canada’s west coast. The band has been around for a few years getting their early recognition around the world as a mainstay in the “surf rock” community.

Doors at 8pm, show at 9pm

Exploding out of the ever-vibrant music community of Canada’s West Coast is the Vancouver quintet Goodbye Beatdown – here to move the millions with their grinding lightning groove. Everyone loves a good stoner band, which is why Walk Off The Earth's sophomore album, My Rock, warrants some serious summer spin time.

Let's take some time this winter to look back on all the great events we've had together! Remember these? If you do great, if not, we understand – we've been there too. It just means you have more to look forward to in 2011!

Lose some time in the media gallery and look back, fondly, on some of the great times.
